Sainte 32

The Sainte 32 is a wall lamp from Lambert & Fils that reads as sculpture with the light off. The studio assembles it by hand in its own atelier in the middle of Montreal.

Rachel Bussin designed the Sainte 32, a square pendant light, and Lambert & Fils assembles it in Montreal, Quebec. Two nylon ribbons hang the fixture, and the light module lifts out of its housing and flips over, so the same lamp throws light up toward the ceiling or down toward a table. Lambert & Fils describes its process as a combination of in-house work and outside specialty partners, without naming those partners or where their components come from. Made-to-order pieces run on a twelve-week lead time.
