Carding brushes raw fleece until the fibres run the same way, which is the step before spinning. Briggs & Little sells the wool at that stage, 100% pure sheep wool in a continuous web, for spinners and felters and for thrumming mittens. The sampler box holds about six ounces in mixed colours, and bulk comes in white and various shades. Colours vary with what the mill has on hand. It is the cheapest way to hold what the mill actually makes.

Origin

Made (carded) in York Mills, New Brunswick, Canada. Briggs & Little states that every fleece it purchases is 100% Canadian.
