Victoria

Victoria has built and repaired ships since the navy settled Esquimalt in 1855, and the Albion Iron Works was turning out boilers and engines by 1863. The big yards closed in the 1990s. The repair docks still run, and the hand trades that kept a working harbour stayed in town.
